Nature Thursday!!

Thursday, the kids and I went out looking for catapillars. we found quite a few of
them! We are going to be looking them up today on the internet to try to identify them. We also looked at the birds and flowers. It was a beautiful day to spend outdoors.

Bridge to heaven?

A bridge is seen amid thick fog in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
(Stringer/ Reuters )

I just thought this was the coolest photo I have seen in a while. I just thought I would share with all of you.

I looked on the net to find a photo of what this bridge looks like with out the fog,  but couldn't find any. I just wanted to find out how tall this bridge was. I guess I'll never know. :>)

My Birthday Pillow!!

These are photos of the front and back of the pillow, the
front was hand knitted (with love) and given to me on my
birthday by my sister, Sarah. She made another
(wich I havent finished yet) knitted with the squares done
in the opposite colors.

The back is done with fabric samples I received
from my grandmother, who
worked at a custom drapery company.
The manufacturer would send in samples and then
the local company would toss
them away when they were finished.  They are great
 for small projects like this.

"Oh my, it is her birthday", you might be thinking......
No, it was back in November. I am just very slow.
Not that it took me long to put it together mind you.... all but ten minutes. I am just
a procrastinator.

I will be posting a photo of the other one as soon as
I finish it. (lol, I know what your thinking).... I promise,
I will finish it right away!

Extra, Extra, Hear all about it!

Lookie, Lookie, my nephew is in the news!!! I am a proud Aunt!!
Josiah is my brother in law and sister in law's son. Josiah is 6 mos.
older than my son. I am just so proud of what a fine young man he has
become.
Well nothing too particularly interesting happened today. It is Easter
 tomorrow and Mom
and I were preparing for Easter dinner. We should have a great time.
 I hope everyone has a
 wonderfull and blessed Easter!

Fun, but time consuming

This, as far as I can tell this is going to be an addiction. I feel compelled to tell every aspect of my life. I have a small farm here on my property. I have chickens, goats, horses, and of corse cats and dogs. I also have a parrot, fish, and a hamster. What a wonderfull way to raise up my children! Surrounded by God's creatures. I am still learning how to do this, and as a consequence my photos are spread all over the page. I am sure as time goes on I will figure this all out. :>)

Here I go........

Not that I think my life is all that interesting... But how many times have I said "goodness gracious! My life is so crazy a comedian couldn't even write stuff this good!"

I just feel compelled to join the ranks of my baby sister, who has had her own blog (which is pardon my French, is freakin' awesome) she used to think I was the cool one. So strange how things change as we get older. She used to want to wear my clothes and now I am looking at her things in admiration.

I hope this blog is interesting enough, At least, I think my life is crazy enough to make it interesting. Or in the very least enough to scare the living daylights out of any one ever wanting children.
